I love the idea of a blog as an account for updates to current work, work-in-progress, ideas, and etc. Whereas a website is a place for finished and polished work, which by its very nature makes it much more static.
Art in its creation process (and sometimes even final form) is messy--physically, mentally, emotionally--messy. But this messy creation process is beautiful! I love seeing a piece of artwork manifest from a tiny notion to a gratifying resolution. For it is through that process that we gain insight about an artist (or ourselves) and why they are creating art.
